Rooftop Rescue

The passing typhoon caused strong monsoon rains over the weekend and by Friday the plants were in a sorry state.

I moved the pots to the “cage”. It’s a small 5sqm space with a temporary roof.

By Sunday, the sun was out (most of the day) and I returned them to their spot.

Tomato #12.  The only immediate casualty.

I haven’t totally given up on #12.  It is still out there and maybe it will survive this when it dries out.

I don’t think it is feasible to move the pots to the cage each and every time it rains, as that happens quite often here.  I am thinking of finding a more appropriate solution to protect the plants.
